Which foods will make my type II diabetes and hypertension worse?
Asked 4 years ago
My mom and I need to tailor her diet so that she can keep her type II diabetes and hypertension in check. Which foods should she be avoiding? Thanks!

Your mom should try to take lesser carbs and avoid trans-fat and saturated fats. She should also avoid sweetened beverages, alcohol, and coffee. Instead, her meals should be rich in whole grains and contain unsaturated fats, vegetables, and fruits. These will help both her blood pressure and diabetes.
