Should I take injectable insulin if I am on anti-diabetic medication?
Asked 3 years ago
I’m on antidiabetic medication for my type 2 diabetes. I’ve had this condition for some time now, and sometimes I think that the oral medication feels like it isn’t working well. Would taking injectable insulin while on oral antidiabetic drugs help control my blood glucose?

If you think your oral medication isn't working well, have it checked out. It may be necessary to have it changed. Beyond that, oral diabetes medication is very effective when combined with injectable insulin. The combination therapy improves glycemic control and reduces insulin requirements, helping to control blood glucose.
