What foods should I avoid as a diabetic with hypertension?

Asked 3 years ago

I have diabetes and hypertension. My mom has recommended that I follow a diet plan so that I don't make either one unnecessarily worse. Which foods should I be avoiding as a diabetic with hypertension?

If you have diabetes and hypertension, you want to cut down on carbs, sugar, and salty meal. You also want to reduce your intake of saturated fats and refined/processed meals. In their place, you may consider eating more whole grains, fruits and vegetables and taking a lot of water.
