Does having diabetes make hypertension worse?
Asked 3 years ago
I've struggled since my teenage years with hypertension but I seem to have a pretty good handle on it these days. However, my family has a history of diabetes and the chances of me developing it one day are pretty high. I want to know if diabetes will make my hypertension worse?

Yeah, diabetes can potentially worsen hypertension when both conditions exist together. You can do everything to limit the chances of developing diabetes in the first place. By maintaining a healthy diet and weight, exercising regularly, and adhering to your treatment, you can reduce in its entirety the risk of developing diabetes.
