I have type II diabetes and am getting concerned about developing hypertension. Does glucose increase or decrease blood pressure in type II diabetes?

Elevated blood glucose levels will increase your blood pressure. High blood glucose levels will cause damage to the blood vessels and organs that regulate blood pressure and lead to hypertension. If you can keep your blood glucose levels down, you can minimize the risk of developing hypertension.
