Can hyperlipidemia and type II diabetes cause hypertension?
Asked 3 years ago
I have hyperlipidemia and type II diabetes which were both diagnosed in a single doctor's appointment. Could this potentially result in hypertension?

Hyperlipidemia is a common comorbidity of diabetes. Several studies have established an association between hyperlipidemia, diabetes, and hypertension. With hyperlipidemia and type II diabetes, your risk of developing hypertension increases as they can cause the hardening or narrowing of the arteries, leading to elevated blood pressure.
